Letter from Coach Goforth: commitment/summer

Caldwell High School
Athletic Department

Dear Parents and/or Guardians:

On behalf of all the coaches at Caldwell High School and Caldwell Middle School, I would like to thank you for allowing us the opportunity to work with your son and/or daughter. The success our teams and athletic program experience is a reflection of your dedication and your child’s hard work and self-discipline.

Our responsibility, as coaches, is to create a positive and enthusiastic environment that promotes higher standards of excellence and a strong work ethic as well as one that fosters teamwork, school pride, and character development so that your son and/or daughter will develop the skills and traits necessary to be successful later in life. The basis of this letter is to thank you for your support and to ask for your future continued involvement in your child’s academic and athletic participation.

Additionally, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to some of the special offerings on the Caldwell High School campus this summer.  In an effort to better prepare your child and our athletes for the rigors of athletic competition and to help your son and/or daughter develop certain sport-specific skills, the Caldwell athletic department will be keeping the weight room and one of the gyms open Monday-Friday from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm and Monday-Thursday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm as well as hosting several camps this summer.

These camps will be offered at a minimal cost and will include a six-week strength and conditioning camp (June 17th-July 26) and a football camp (July 22-26) for all incoming 7th, 8th and 9th graders. Information on the individual camps will be made available to your son/daughter through their respective coaches. All forms can be secured at Middle and High School offices. Any questions or concerns may be directed to me at 567-9053.

Once again, we are excited about the opportunity to coach your son and/or daughter and we look forward to seeing and working with them at our summer camps.

Sincerely,
Bobby Jack Goforth
Athletic Director, Caldwell ISD

Kind words from Coach Goforth...

Boosters and Community Support

The Caldwell Athletic Booster Club and community has been a strong supporter of our athletes and teams. The community support at games and events has given our athletes an edge in competition. The Caldwell community has been supportive of our coaching staff, and they have recognized the value of the jobs that our coaches have done.  A positive rapport between boosters, community members and our coaching staff is set in place.

The Caldwell Athletic Booster Club has been instrumental in planning and preparation for our coaches, athletes and teams. Their commitment to excellence for our athletes has been outstanding. The Booster Club has been a huge plus for us in our daily operations through financial backing and hard work behind the scenes. Much of this credit goes to our Booster Club leadership and Board of Directors. Special thanks goes out to this year’s officers: President, Allen Smith; Vice-President, Wes Kauder; Secretary, Pam Payonk; Treasurer, Tracy Stone; and Reporter, Bobretta Taylor.

Congratulations to the following people who will be the officers for the 2013-14 school year: President, Sundy Fryrear; Vice-President, Wes Kauder; Secretary, Beverly Lilie; Treasurer, Tracy Stone; and Reporter, Cynthia Kauder.

The continued involvement of the Caldwell community and parents will be a vital ingredient for the overall success level of the Caldwell Athletic Program. As athletic director, I look forward to working with the loyal members of the Caldwell Athletic Boosters and community.

Sincerely,
Coach Goforth
